Just wanted to take a few minutes to say goodbye to my parents' dog, Katie. I had convinced Mom to name her after Captain (Kathryn) Janeway, but she had to throw in the middle name, "Ann." Katie's favorite food was shrimp, and my dad would often buy the shrimp rings from Foodtown to share with her.
Katie lived a long and happy life, despite being sick and nearly blind and white as a ghost at the end of it all (She had Cushing's disease). She will be missed!
RIP, Katie!
